President Claude Xavier Wright
AFYSA was founded in November 2008 by Claude Xavier Wright, Radica Wright and Tony McDonald.
This organization started out as a dream for Mr. Wright many years ago. He has been mentoring kids as long as he can remember. It has been his dream to develop a program in the community where he lives that will help foster the growth and development for both boys and girls. He was determined to find a program that was designed to include all children that has the desire to participate. This program must not discriminate as against, weight, race or athletic abilities and must also be geared towards motivating them to strive for excellent in and out of the class room while learning the fundamentals of sports. This dream became a reality in 2008 with the help of Mrs. Wright and Mr. McDonald. In 2009 we completed our inaugural season with over 300 participants. It is our hope that we will continue to grow and remain a positive influence in our community.
Fact: Mr. Wright is also one of the founders of the North Florida Football and Cheer Conference, an organization that is a proud member of American Youth Football and Cheer.
AFYSA is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the boys and girls of our community. Our program is designed to introduce, teach and develop the fundamentals of football, cheerleading, discipline and good sportsmanship to the local youth in a positive and family oriented environment.
Thank you for what you guys are doing at Argyle. Before we came to Argyle my son would come home from school and go to room to play games or go on the computer. Now he has friends, he is proud of walking with his shirt off, not ashame of his looks any longer and is losing weight. Thanks (parent of 8th Grade White Team)
